Inside the table read room
Take your seat, drop out and what to expect on the night.
The table read room is a live video room for your cast.
Take your seat
About 10 minutes before the start, the room opens. Click Take your seat, allow your camera and microphone, and you're in. The writer sees who has arrived.
During the read
The script scrolls on screen with each character's lines highlighted for the actor reading them. Keep yourself muted when you're not speaking if your room is noisy.
Drop out
If something comes up, click Drop out. The writer gets a note in the project chat and can recast the role.
Always open reads
Some writers mark a read Always open. Anyone with a matching role can drop in after the start, which helps when a cast runs short.
Video frozen? Refresh the page and take your seat again. Your role stays yours.
