Welcome to Act Write Here
What happens on Act Write Here, for writers and for actors.
Act Write Here brings writers and actors together for live virtual table reads. You post a script, actors claim the roles, and you hear your pages out loud.
If you write
- Create a project and upload your script.
- Add your characters and publish.
- Actors who fit your roles see the project in their Matches and claim parts. You can also auto-cast.
- Schedule the read with a Ticket and meet your cast in the table read room.
If you act
Open Matches to see roles picked for you. Matches refresh every 24 hours. Claim a role, and the read lands on your Calendar with reminders before it starts.
Do both?
Plenty of people write and act. One account covers both. Use the Writer/Actor pill in the top nav to switch.
Let's set the scene.
